Regular Season Round 6: MKS DG 2 - Zaglebie 68-66

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Dabrowa Gornicza where 11th ranked Zaglebie (1-5) was edged by twelfth ranked MKS DG 2 (1-4) 68-66 on Thursday. MKS DG 2 forced 26 Zaglebie turnovers. Patryk Piszczatowski (190-98) scored 27 points and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and center Adam Niespor (200-99) chipped in 12 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Kamil Wojciak (193-85) with 14 points and 5 rebounds and forward Adrian Koziol (196-90) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. MKS DG 2 left bottom position moving up to eleventh place in Group C. It was Zaglebie's third loss in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. MKS DG 2 will face higher ranked AZS PCz (#10) in Czestochowa in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Zaglebie will play at home against Rybnik and hope to win that game.
