Another exciting game was between Kashan and Tabriz where Kashan (1-0) beat Tabriz (0-1) on the road 84-80. Kashan forced 24 Tabriz turnovers. Tabriz was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Kaveh Nourafza (179-86) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 assists. Arash Najafi (-77) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Kashan players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Nikola Gacesa (206-87, college: TCU) answered with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard M.Reza Falahat (180-91) added 16 points in the effort for Tabriz. Tabriz's coach Mehran Hatami tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kashan will play against Petrochimi (#3) in Bandar Imam in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tabriz will play on the road against Chemidor (#6) in Tehran to get more than just one victory in their record.
