Regular Season Round 10: Budivelnyk - Dnipro 75-74

The most exciting game of round 10 in the Superleague took place in Kyiv. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent Dnipro (7-2) to third ranked Budivelnyk (7-3) 75-74 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Dnipro. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 18-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Budivelnyk looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Lithuania center Michailis Anisimovas (214-84) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Sergey Gorbenko (202-85) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. International center Sergiy Zagreba (214-94) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (202-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 19 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Dnipro. Dnipro's coach Denys Zhuravlov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Budivelnyk have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-3 record having just one point less than leader Khimik. Dnipro at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Budivelnyk are looking forward to face Mykolaiv (#6) in Mykolaiv in the next round. Dnipro will play on the road against the league's leader Khimik (#1) in Yuzhny and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
