Regular Season Round 4: Anwil - Krosno 65-61

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Krosno (3-2) against fourteenth ranked Anwil (2-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Krosno was defeated by Anwil in a tough game in Wloclawek 61-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Krosno. The hosts were ahead by 5 points but lost the second period ending it with a 6-point deficit before their 22-12 run, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by the former international power forward Pawel Leonczyk (203-86) who scored that evening 21 points and 9 rebounds and Russia Fedor Dmitriev (204-84, agency: Alti Sport) supported him with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by Swedish-American guard Chris Czerapowicz (201-91, college: Davidson) did not help to save the game for Krosno. American guard Royce Woolridge (190-92, college: Grand Canyon) added 14 points and 6 assists for lost side. Four Krosno players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Anwil moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Krosno at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Anwil will play against Energa Czarni (#12) in Slupsk in the next round. Krosno will play at home against the league's second-placed PGE Turow (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
