Regular Season Round 4: Stelmet ZG - Szczecin 87-81

Everything could happen in Zielona Gora at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Stelmet and 12th ranked Wilki Morskie had identical 3-1 record. This time Stelmet used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Szczecin 87-81 on Saturday night. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Stelmet forced 19 Wilki Morskie turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin Nemanja Djurisic (203-92, college: Georgia) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) who added 14 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Taylor Brown (200-89, college: Bradley, agency: Three Eye Sports) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Guinea-American guard Russell Robinson (185-86) scored 11 points and 8 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion (4-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with PGE Turow. Loser Wilki Morskie dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Stelmet will face MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#6) on the road in the next round. Wilki Morskie will play against Stal Ostrow Wlkp. and hope to win that game.
