Regular Season Round 3: Kaspiy Aktau - Barsy Atyrau 66-80

An interesting game for Barsy Atyrau (2-2) which played road game in Aktau against Kaspiy Aktau (0-4). Barsy Atyrau managed to get a 14-point victory 80-66. The game was mostly controlled by Barsy Atyrau. Kaspiy Aktau managed to win fourth quarter 23-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Barsy Atyrau forced 28 Kaspiy Aktau turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Trevin Parks (180-91, college: Johnson C. Smith) who led his team to a victory with 32 points and 4 steals. The former international power forward Mikhail Yevstigneyev (201-84) contributed with 17 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Point guard Azim Yagodkin (185-92) answered with 22 points and 5 steals and center Robert Pan (202-95) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Kaspiy Aktau. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Barsy Atyrau will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kaspiy Aktau will play at home against Astana and hopes to get finally their first victory.
