Regular Season Round 9: Chanson V-M - Yamanashi QB 84-48

Bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to fourth ranked Chanson V-M (5-2) 84-48. The game was mostly controlled by Chanson V-M. Yamanashi QB was better in fourth quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Yamanashi QB to just 3 points in second quarter. Chanson V-M dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Yamanashi QB's 36. Chanson V-M forced 20 Yamanashi QB turnovers and outrebounded them 60-38 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) who scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Kana Motoyama (180-90) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Hitomi Konnai (170-86) who recorded 10 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Shihorei Tsuda (168-92) added 5 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Chanson V-M maintains fourth place with 5-2 record, which they share with Fujitsu RW. Yamanashi QB lost their seventh game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with seven games lost. Chanson V-M's next round opponent will be again bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB (#12) on the road and are hoping to win another game.
