Regular Season Round 8: Vitre - GET Vosges 62-56

An interesting game for Vitre (6-2) which hosted in Vitre one of their biggest challengers GET Vosges (5-3). Third ranked Vitre managed to get a 6-point victory 62-56. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of GET Vosges. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But GET Vosges won fourth quarter 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vitre dominated on the defensive end, holding GET Vosges to just 6 points in second quarter. The winners were led by Montenegrin center Aleksandar Radulovic (207-83) who scored that evening 13 points and 6 rebounds and forward Guillaume Merie (198-83) supported him with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Vitre players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 8 rebounds by American center Kyle Tresnak (208-92, college: Weber St.) did not help to save the game for GET Vosges. Forward Masse Doumbe (203-87, college: Kaiser) added 13 points for the guests. GET Vosges' coach Laurent Mathis tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Vitre have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Quimper. Loser GET Vosges keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Vitre will meet league's second-placed Quimper UJAP on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. GET Vosges will play against Angers BC and hope to secure a win.
