The game had a very big importance for fifth-ranked Faenza as it allowed them to take a leadership position in B. Faenza defeated 7th ranked Desio at home 70-63. Swingman Riccardo Iattoni (198-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Emanuele Pini (197-95) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Center Filippo Politi (205-80) answered with 21 points and forward Andrea Negri (193-88) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Desio. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Bergamo and Orzinuovi GaGa. Desio at the other side dropped to the eighth place with two games lost. Desio will play next round against Sestu trying to get back on the winning streak. Faenza will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Crema on the road.
