Very expected game when 16th ranked Blusens Monbus (1-5) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Sevilla (3-3) 79-74 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and won the game by 5 points. FYR Macedonia guard Vojdan Stojanovski (194-87, agency: BeoBasket) scored 15 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Slovenia Bostjan Nachbar (206-80) chipped in 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Lithuania swingman Deividas Dulkys (195-88, college: Florida St.) with 19 points and Hungarian forward Rosco Allen (206-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 20 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Sevilla maintains ninth position with 3-3 record. Loser Blusens Monbus dropped to the bottom place with five games lost. Sevilla will face Gran Canaria (#11) in Las Palmas in the next round. Blusens Monbus will play at home against CAI Zaragoza (#12) and hope to win that game.
