There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Porto S.Elpidio (3-2) won against on the road 3rd placed Giulianova (3-2) 82-74 on Sunday. Swingman Fabio Lovatti (192-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 7 assists. Forward Diego Torresi (200-92) contributed with 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Porto S.Elpidio players scored in double figures. Point guard Antonello Ricci (190-92) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Simone Colonnelli (185-91) added 15 points and 6 assists in the effort for Giulianova. Porto S.Elpidio moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Giulianova. Porto S.Elpidio will face league's leader Bisceglie at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Giulianova will play against San Severo and hope to win that game.
