Regular Season Round 10: Toyota A. - Toyota B SR 73-60

Very expected game in Nagoya where 7th ranked Toyota B SR (4-4) was defeated by top-ranked Toyota A. (8-0) 73-60. It looked good early as Toyota B SR took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Toyota A. had a 23-9 second period charge getting the lead and Toyota B SR was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 60-73. 25 personal fouls committed by Toyota B SR helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Saki Mizushima (171-91) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. Center Mori Binge (180-88) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Toyota A.'s coach Don Beck allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) replied with 10 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Sakiko Nomachi (177-87) added 12 points in the effort for Toyota B SR. Toyota A. have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with JX-Eneos S. Toyota B SR at the other side keeps the seventh place with four games lost. Toyota A. will have a break next round. Toyota B SR will play on the road against Denso Iris (#3) in Kariya and hope to win that game.
