Regular Season Round 9: NH Ostrava - MMCITE Brno 74-77

A very interesting game took place in Ostrava. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 12th ranked NH Ostrava (1-8) to eleventh ranked MMCITE Brno (2-7) 77-74 on Monday evening. MMCITE Brno forced 19 NH Ostrava turnovers. The best player for the winners was Serbian point guard Edi Sinadinovic (193-88) who scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Stan Simpson (208-90, college: Memphis) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Four MMCITE Brno players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Deshawn Painter (205-90, college: ODU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and forward Vojtech Bratcenkov (198-91) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. MMCITE Brno moved-up to ninth place, which they share with J.Hradec and Svitavy. NH Ostrava lost their seventh game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. MMCITE Brno's next round opponent will be league's leader CEZ Nymburk on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. NH Ostrava will play against BK Lions Hradec (#11) in J.Hradec and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
