Regular Season Round 4: Panathinaikos - Kymis 92-52
Date: October 31, 2016
Fifth ranked Panathinaikos (3-1) crushed at home 8th ranked Kymis (1-3) by 40 points 92-52, which is the biggest margin this round on Monday night. The game without a history. Panathinaikos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kymis to just 7 points in second quarter. Panathinaikos looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of point guard Eleftherios Bochoridis (193-94) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and international center Ioannis Bourousis (214-83) who added 12 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) responded with 9 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Muhammad El-Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook, agency: Inception Sports) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Panathinaikos moved-up to third place, which they share with AGOR and PAOK. Newly promoted Kymis keeps the eighth position with three games lost. Panathinaikos will face Doxa Lefkadas (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Kymis will play against Aiolos Trikallon and hope to win that game.
