Regular Season Round 4: Evreux - Charleville 70-79

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Charleville-Mezieres and 11th ranked ALM Evreux had identical 2-1 record. But ALM Evreux was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Charleville 79-70 on Friday night. ALM Evreux trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 18-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 70-79 at the end of the game. Charleville-Mezieres forced 21 ALM Evreux turnovers. Charleville-Mezieres' coach Cedric Heitz used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Naturalized Ivorian forward Remi Dibo (201-91, college: W.Virginia, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Caleb Walker (194-89, college: Nebraska) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Charleville-Mezieres (3-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser ALM Evreux dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Charleville-Mezieres will face Boulazac Basket (#17) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. ALM Evreux will play against Aix-Maurienne (#7) in Aix-les-Bains and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
