The game between tenth ranked Rotenburg/Scheessel (3-5) and 7th ranked ChemCats Chemnitz (3-5) in Rotenburg on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Rotenburg/Scheessel outscored guests from Chemnitz 79-54. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ChemCats Chemnitz. The game without a history. Rotenburg/Scheessel led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American forward Ashley Southern (185-93, college: Lipscomb) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian guard Laura Dally (183-92, college: Saskatchewan) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rotenburg/Scheessel moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Chemnitz. Rotenburg/Scheessel will face higher ranked Hannover (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
