Regular Season Round 7: Kosice - Nitra 101-67

Bottom-ranked Nitra is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to sixth ranked Kosice (4-2) 101-67 on Saturday evening. Kosice dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Nitra's 30 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Kosice looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian power forward Vladimir Ivelja (204-88, agency: AproK Sports Group) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian guard Radenko Pilcevic (188-86, agency: AproK Sports Group) accounted for 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Kosice players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Filip Pejovic (198-89, college: Erskine) came up with 17 points and Serbian forward Goran Ostojic (205-91) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Nitra in the defeat. Nitra's coach Peter Seman gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Kosice moved-up to fifth place. Loser Nitra still closes the standings with seven games lost. They share the position with Nova Ves. Kosice will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nitra will play against Handlova (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
