Regular Season Round 7: Andorra II - Castelldefels 72-98

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Castelldefels and 12th ranked Andorra II had identical 1-4 record. But Andorra II was not able to use a home court advantage and was outplayed by the opponent from Castelldefels 98-72 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Castelldefels led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 65.6 percent from the field. Castelldefels forced 20 Andorra II turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Andorra II's players. Andorra II was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Andreu Sese who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). Forward Jordi Boronat (-85) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Castelldefels players scored in double figures. Bosnian forward Nikola Maric (201-98) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds and center Cinto Gabriel (199-87) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Andorra II. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Castelldefels (2-4) moved-up to tenth place in Group C-B. Andorra II lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Castelldefels will face higher ranked Sitges (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Andorra II will play against Mollet (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
