Everything could happen in Lugo at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Leche Rio Breogan and 6th ranked Oviedo CB had identical 4-2 record. This time Leche Rio Breogan used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Oviedo 95-78 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Leche Rio Breogan. Oviedo CB was better in third quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Leche Rio Breogan made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for Argentinian-Italian guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 assists. Danish forward Jonathan Gilling (203-91, college: Arizona St.) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Swedish Johan Lofberg (199-95) answered with 17 points and 4 assists and center Miquel Salvo Llambrich (205-94) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Oviedo CB. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Leche Rio Breogan (5-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with Palencia and Gipuzkoa GBC. Loser Oviedo CB keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Leche Rio Breogan will face CB Prat (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Oviedo CB will play against Magia Huesca (#15) and hope to win that game.
