Regular Season Round 7: Gravelines - Strasbourg 73-72

A very close game took place in Gravelines between Gravelines-Dunkerque and Strasbourg IG. Sixteenth ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (3-4) got a very close home victory over 15th ranked Strasbourg IG (2-5). Gravelines-Dunkerque managed to escape with a 1-point win 73-72 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 18-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Gravelines-Dunkerque made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. At the losing side international center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (208-94, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Erving Walker (173-90, college: Florida, agency: Two Points) scored 13 points and 5 assists. Gravelines-Dunkerque moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Strasbourg IG dropped to the bottom position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Gravelines-Dunkerque will meet ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#10) on the road in the next round. Strasbourg IG will play against Cholet Basket (#14) and hope to secure a win.
