Regular Season Round 4: Boulazac - St Chamond 87-98

Date: November 5, 2016
Saint Chamond can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Boulazac Basket (1-3) on the road game in Boulazac 98-87 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 11 points. Saint Chamond outrebounded Boulazac Basket 33-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Killian Larson (206-91, college: Grand Canyon, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard B.A. Walker (184-84, college: VCU, agency: Inception Sports) who added 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Saint Chamond's coach Alain Thinet used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American power forward Jarvis Williams (198-93, college: Murray St.) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and Aurelien Salmon (202-87) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Saint Chamond left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Boulazac Basket. Saint Chamond will meet higher ranked Nantes (#10) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Boulazac Basket will play against Charleville-Mezieres having rather not much hope for a victory.
