Regular Season Round 8: Polonia Leszno - GKS Tychy 65-75

We should mention about the upset which took place in Leszno, where 6th ranked Polonia Leszno (5-3) lost at home to ninth ranked GKS Tychy (4-4) 65-75 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Tomasz Deja (200-83) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and swingman Hubert Mazur (190-84, agency: Promotex) who added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four GKS Tychy players scored in double figures. Swingman Tomasz Stepien (192-86) responded with 20 points and forward Szymon Kiwilsza (202-97) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Polonia Leszno's coach Lukasz Grudniewski let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. GKS Tychy moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Polonia Leszno dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Legia W-wa and Pogon Prudnik. GKS Tychy will meet at home Nysa Klodzko (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Polonia Leszno will play against the league's second-placed Spojnia (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
