Date: November 5, 2016
The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Casvi's (4-3) road victory over 10th ranked Torrelodones (2-4) 77-65 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Casvi. Torrelodones was better in third quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Casvi won last quarter 26-16. They also forced 24 Torrelodones turnovers. It was a very good performance for Jose Miguel Perez (202-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Fernando Sierra (187-95) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Casvi players scored in double figures. Forward Ruben Portes (192-81) answered with 15 points and French guard Kevin Cham (182-98, college: High School) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Torrelodones. Torrelodones' coach Dani Gomez tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Casvi moved-up to seventh place in Group B, which they share with Alcobendas and Gran Canaria B. Loser Torrelodones dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost. Casvi will face Estudiantes B (#14) in Madrid in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Torrelodones will play on the road against Quintanar and hope to win that game.
