Regular Season Round 6: Villeneuve - Angers 77-65

Very expected game when 10th ranked Angers (1-5) lost on the road to fifth ranked Villeneuve D'Ascq (4-2) 77-65. It looked good early as Angers took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Villeneuve D'Ascq had a 18-13 second period charge getting the lead and Angers was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 65-77. They outrebounded Angers 40-27 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international forward Valerianne Ayayi (184-94, agency: Comsport) who scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Ukrainian swingman Alina Iagupova (186-92, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 15 points. Four Villeneuve D'Ascq players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Clarince Djaldi-Tabdi (183-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Canadian forward Lizanne Murphy (185-84, college: Hofstra) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Villeneuve D'Ascq moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Angers lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with five games lost.
