The game with biggest result difference took place in Limoges. Local Limoges CSP Elite (4-3) outscored 11th ranked Chalons-Reims (3-4) 87-62 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Limoges CSP Elite. Chalons-Reims was better in fourth quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Limoges CSP Elite shot 60.3 percent from the field. Limoges CSP Elite outrebounded Chalons-Reims 36-21 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international center Ousmane Camara (202-89) fired 18 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. Slovenia guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. American swingman Mark Payne (203-88, college: Cal-Davis) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Steven Smith (203-83, college: La Salle) added 12 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Limoges CSP Elite moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Dijon and Paris-Levallois. Loser Chalons-Reims dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Limoges CSP Elite will face higher ranked Chalon/Saor (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Chalons-Reims will play against Sluc Nancy (#16) and hope to win that game.
