Regular Season Round 10: Siauliai - Neptunas 62-110

The game between 10th ranked Siauliai (1-9) and sixth ranked Neptunas (5-5) in Siauliai on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Klaipeda outscored Siauliai 110-62. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 110-62. Neptunas dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Siauliai's 42. They outrebounded Siauliai 39-27 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Neptunas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. The other American import power forward Jerai Grant (203-89, college: Clemson) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Neptunas players scored in double figures. Neptunas' coach Dainius Adomaitis felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American forward AJ West (206-91, college: Nevada) replied with 22 points and 9 rebounds and Ghanian-American Asenso Ampim (203-88, college: Columbia, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Siauliai. Neptunas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Vytautas and P.Zvaigzdes. Loser Siauliai stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Neptunas will face Nevezis (#7) in Kedainiai in the next round. Siauliai will play at home against P.Zvaigzdes and hope to win that game.
