Everything could happen in Slupsk at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Energa Czarni and 11th ranked Anwil had identical 2-2 record. This time Energa Czarni used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Wloclawek 80-75 on Sunday night. Anwil was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 25-18 charge of Energa Czarni, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Anwil's players. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jerel Blassingame (175-81, college: UNLV) who scored 22 points and 8 assists. His fellow American import power forward David Kravish (208-92, college: California) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Energa Czarni players scored in double figures. Croatia center Josip Sobin (203-89, agency: Alti Sport) produced 19 points and the former international point guard Kamil Laczynski (183-89) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Anwil's coach Igor Milicic let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Energa Czarni (3-2) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Anwil dropped to the twelfth position with three games lost. Energa Czarni will face higher ranked PGE Turow (#3) in Zgorzelec in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Anwil will play at home against Asseco (#7) and hope to win that game.
