Everything could happen in Barcelona at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Barna and 6th ranked Castellbisbal had identical 3-2 record. This time Barna used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Castellbisba 91-83 on Sunday night. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Barna made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Barna outrebounded Castellbisbal 24-12 including a 18-4 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for guard Bartu Martinez (187-91) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 rebounds. Marc Rabaseda (-93) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Forward Marc Manes (196-86) answered with 20 points and center Gerard Galbete (204-88) added 18 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) in the effort for Castellbisbal. Five Barna and four Castellbisbal players scored in double figures. Castellbisbal's coach Raul Martinez tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Barna. They moved-up to third place in Group C-A, which they share with Cornella. Loser Castellbisbal dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Barna will face Salt (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Castellbisbal will play against Mataro (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
