Regular Season Round 7: Valle de Egues - Ardoi 64-60

Ardoi (4-1) recorded its first loss in Olaz. Visitors were defeated by eleventh ranked Valle de Egues (2-3) 64-60. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ardoi. Ardoi was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 31-25 second half run of Valle de Egues. They also forced 21 Ardoi turnovers. It was a great evening for Ivorian power forward Kouassi Konan (204-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Fernando Santesteban helped adding 15 points. At the losing side naturalized Ukrainian forward Anton Savitski (196-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds and guard Ignacio Urtasun (187-80) scored 16 points. Four Ardoi players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Valle de Egues moved-up to tenth place in Group A-A, which they share with Burgos. Ardoi at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with Cantbasket. Valle de Egues will play against Burgos (#10) on the road in the next round. Ardoi will play against Univ.Burgos (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
