Regular Season Round 6: Cento - Iseo 95-69

Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Iseo (1-5) was outscored on the road by seventh ranked Cento (4-2) 95-69 on Sunday. Cento dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Iseo's 28. Cento forced 20 Iseo turnovers and outrebounded them 37-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Iseo's players. It was a good game for swingman Luca Bedetti (193-89, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Forward Davide Andreaus (202-86) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four Cento players scored in double figures. Cento's coach Lanfranco Giordani felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Andrea Leone (186-94) replied with 15 points and 5 assists and swingman Giovanni Veronesi (192-98) added 12 points in the effort for Iseo. Cento have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 9 other teams. Newly promoted Iseo dropped to the fourteenth position with five games lost. Cento will face league's leader Orzinuovi GaGa on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Iseo will play against Sestu (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
