Regular Season Round 6: Giulianova - San Severo 57-66

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked San Severo (3-3) beat on the road higher ranked Giulianova (3-3) 66-57 on Sunday. They outrebounded Giulianova 42-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for guard Leonardo Ciribeni (190-92) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Iris Ikangi (200-94, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Simone De Angelis (201-86) replied with 22 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Danilo Gallerini (185-80) added 11 points in the effort for Giulianova. San Severo moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 14 other teams including defeated Giulianova. San Severo will face Rimini (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
