Regular Season Round 8: Prat - Breogan 84-92

Date: November 8, 2016
Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked CB Prat (3-5) was defeated at home by third ranked Leche Rio Breogan (6-2) 92-84 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 36-22 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Leche Rio Breogan made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 CB Prat turnovers. CB Prat was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Danish forward Jonathan Gilling (203-91, college: Arizona St.) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and Argentinian-Italian guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple) who added 12 points and 7 assists during the contest. Four Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. Guard Xavier Forcada (194-88) responded with 19 points and 8 assists and Pep Ortega (201-84) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Leche Rio Breogan maintains third position with 6-2 record behind leader Coruna, which they share with Gipuzkoa GBC. CB Prat lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with five games lost. Leche Rio Breogan will face Castello (#14) in Castellon in the next round which should be an easy win for them. CB Prat will play on the road against Oviedo CB and hope to win that game.
