Regular Season Round 11: Suduva-Mantinga - KTU 92-69

NKL top team - Suduva-Mantinga (9-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked KTU (5-6) in Marijampole 92-69. The game without a history. Suduva-Mantinga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to KTU's 32. Suduva-Mantinga players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a quality performance for forward Antanas Udras (203-92, agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Evaldas Saulys (190-93) accounted for 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Five Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. Deividas Poguzinskas (202-95, college: High School) came up with 20 points and 5 rebounds and forward Ignas Labutis (198-94) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for KTU in the defeat. KTU's coach Vytautas Pliauga gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Suduva-Mantinga maintains first place with 9-2 record. Newly promoted KTU keeps the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Vytis. Suduva-Mantinga will play against Silute (#4) on the road in the next round. KTU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kaunas Zalgiris II.
