Regular Season Round 7: Desio - Crema 56-61

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Crema (4-3) won against on the road 6th ranked Desio (4-3) 61-56 on Sunday. Crema made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Desio turnovers. It was a great evening for power forward Thomas De Min (203-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Marco Pasqualin (178-97) helped adding 12 points. Four Crema players scored in double figures. At the losing side Andrea Mazzoleni (200-98) responded with 12 points and forward Andrea Negri (193-88) scored 8 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Crema have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Desio. Crema will face Padova (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Desio will play against Vicenza (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
