The game in San Fernando was also worth to mention about. Seventh ranked Puente Alto (5-8) played at the court of 8th ranked Tinguiririca S.F. (4-11). Puente Alto managed to secure a 7-point victory 90-83. The winners were led by Venezuela forward Lenin Lopez (198-91) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Venezuela guard Jovanni Diaz (195-92) supported him with 27 points and 7 rebounds. Puente Alto's coach Claudio Lavin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 38 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) by Argentinian power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (196-88) did not help to save the game for Tinguiririca S.F.. Jose Cruz added 19 points. Puente Alto have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Tinguiririca S.F. lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Puente Alto will play against higher ranked CD Castro (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tinguiririca S.F. will play against AB Ancud (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
