An interesting game for Fuerza Regia (10-0) which played road game in Guanajuato against 3rd ranked Abejas (5-4). Top-ranked Fuerza Regia had an easy win 75-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Abejas. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 16-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-60. Fuerza Regia outrebounded Abejas 43-32 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St., agency: BeoBasket) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international Hector Hernandez (205-85, college: Fresno St., agency: Pro Sports) supported him with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Even a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds by American forward Steffphon Pettigrew (196-89, college: W.Kentucky, agency: HMS) did not help to save the game for Abejas. Forward Alexis Cervantes (200-88) added 11 points for lost side. Abejas' coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fuerza Regia have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Loser Abejas dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. Fuerza Regia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Abejas will play again against the league's leader Fuerza Regia (#1) and hope to secure a win.
