Regular Season Round 10: BSW Sixers - Westerstede 83-61

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Sixers as it allowed them to take a leadership position in North. Sixers smashed 9th ranked Westerstede in Sandersdorf 83-61. They outrebounded Westerstede 52-27 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Terrence Williams (198-93, college: Charlotte) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Croatian swingman Sandro Kordis (195-92) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Lukas Higgen (206-93) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Bahir Karmand (185-93) scored 15 points and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sixers have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Westerstede lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth place with three games lost. Westerstede will play next round against Rendsburg trying to get back on the winning streak. Sixers will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Stade on the road.
