Regular Season Round 11: Pogon RS - MKS DG 2 100-75

Date: November 19, 2016
There was no surprise when 11th ranked MKS DG 2 (3-7) was outleveled by seventh ranked Pogon RS (5-5) in Ruda Slaska 100-75 on Saturday. Pogon RS dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG 2's 32. They outrebounded MKS DG 2 53-21 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Pogon RS looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by MKS DG 2's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pogon RS made 7 blocks. Center Adam Andula (201-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Daniel Kubista (187-88) contributed with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Patryk Piszczatowski (190-98) answered with 22 points and point guard Patryk Wieczorek (188-96) added 21 points in the effort for MKS DG 2. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Pogon RS moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 5 other teams. MKS DG 2 lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Pogon RS will face Rybnik (#7) on the road in the next round. MKS DG 2 will play against the league's leader AZS PK and hope to win that game.
