Everything went according to plan when third ranked Faenza (6-2) won against on the road 12th ranked San Vendemiano (3-5) 77-73 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was swingman Riccardo Iattoni (198-92) who scored 9 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Daniele Casadei (199-81) chipped in 16 points. Point guard Michele Antelli (183-98) produced 13 points and 4 steals and Andrea Muner (200-90) added 14 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for the hosts. Four San Vendemiano players scored in double figures. San Vendemiano's coach Fabio Volpato rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Faenza keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 7 other teams. Newly promoted San Vendemiano dropped to the tenth place with five games lost.
