Regular Season Round 9: Venta de Banos - Easo 58-99

Very expected game when 14th ranked Venta de Banos (1-6) was rolled over at home by fourth ranked Easo (5-2) 99-58 on Saturday. The game without a history. Easo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Venta de Banos' 40. They outrebounded Venta de Banos 38-22 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Asier Azpeitia (192-98) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Inigo Del Valle (188-87) chipped in 12 points and 5 assists. Five Easo players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Estonian Robert Valge (192-97) who recorded 22 points and South Sudanese forward Slay Chol (203-90, college: Trevecca Naz.) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Easo moved-up to third place in Group A-A, which they share with Valladolid Univ. and Cantbasket. Loser Venta de Banos keeps the fourteenth position with six games lost. Easo will face Valle de Egues (#10) in Olaz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Venta de Banos will play on the road against TAKE Tolosa (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
