Important game to mention about took place in Rio de Janeiro. Tenth ranked Vasco Da G. (3-2) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 11th ranked SKY/Basquete (1-3) 71-69 on Tuesday evening. American guard David Jackson (195-82, college: Penn St.) nailed 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and the former international center Bruno Fiorotto (208-84) accounted for 14 points and 10 rebounds. Vasco Da G.'s coach Christiano Pereira allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international forward Marcus Vinicius Toledo (201-86) came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds and the former international Luis Felipe Gruber (206-85) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for SKY/Basquete in the defeat. Four SKY/Basquete players scored in double figures. Vasco Da G. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Pinheiros. SKY/Basquete at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with three games lost. They share it with Minas. Vasco Da G. will play against league's leader Universo/Vitoria in Salvador in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SKY/Basquete will play on the road against Caxias do Sul (#15) to get more than just one victory in their record.
