The game in Guanajuato was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Toros (9-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Abejas (5-7). Toros did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 86-67. The game was mostly controlled by Toros. Abejas was better in fourth quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by the former international center Lorenzo Mata (205-86, agency: Pro Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Damion James (201-87, college: Texas) supported him with 19 points. Four Toros players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 7 rebounds by American forward Steffphon Pettigrew (196-89, college: W.Kentucky, agency: HMS) did not help to save the game for Abejas. His fellow American import forward Matt Gwynne (208-87, college: Campbell) added 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toros have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Abejas lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
