Everything went according to plan in Athens where second ranked Iraklis (7-1) beat bottom-ranked Pagrati (1-7) 74-64. Iraklis players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Guard Yannis Gagaloudis (192-78) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. Center Dimitris Despos (209-76) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Iraklis players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Bojan Radetic (205-88) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and guard Sotiris Bourdanos (187-86) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Pagrati. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Iraklis maintains second position with 7-1 record behind leader Panionios, which they share with Doukas. Pagrati lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with seven games lost. Iraklis' next round opponent will be Irakleio (#11) at home and are hoping to win another game. Pagrati will play against AE Larissas (#6) and hope to win that game.
