Regular Season Round 8: Kolossos HH - Kymis 64-54

Date: November 26, 2016
Everything could happen in Rodou at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Kolossos and 8th ranked Kymis had identical 3-4 record. This time Kolossos used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Kymis 64-54. It looked good early as Kymis took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kolossos had a 22-8 second period charge getting the lead and Kymis was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 54-64. Kolossos forced 21 Kymis turnovers. The winners were led by American forward Juvonte Reddic (206-92, college: VCU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Panagiotis Vasilopoulos (202-84) supported him with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Even 21 points and 4 assists by American swingman Muhammad El-Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook, agency: Inception Sports) did not help to save the game for Kymis. British point guard Ogooluwa Adegboye (182-87, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points for the guests. Kymis' coach Vassilis Bratsiakos let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Kolossos (4-4) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Kymis dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Kolossos' next round opponent will be Aris (#7) in Thessaloniki. Kymis will play at home against PAOK and hope to win that game.
