An interesting game for Fuerza Regia (13-0) which played road game in Aguascalientes against 3rd placed Panteras (8-6). Leader Fuerza Regia had an easy win 93-76. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 53-35 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Fuerza Regia dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Panteras' 40. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Andy Panko (203-77, college: Lebanon Valley, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Gabriel Giron (190-88) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. International power forward Fernando Benitez (204-89) answered with 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Puerto Rican point guard Alex Abreu (180-91, college: W.Georgia) added 21 points and 5 assists in the effort for Panteras. Panteras' coach Allans Colon rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Fuerza Regia have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. Panteras lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with six games lost. Fuerza Regia are looking forward to face Barreteros (#6) in Zacatecas in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Panteras will play on the road against Abejas in Guanajuato and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
