Regular Season Round 10: Menorca - Barna 75-57

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Menorca as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group C-A. Menorca defeated 9th ranked Barna in Mahon 75-57. The game was mostly controlled by Menorca. Barna was better in third quarter 18-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Barna 41-27 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Daniel Garcia Tora (192-79) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Jan Orfila (207-84) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five Menorca players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Victor Pla (187-87) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Bartu Martinez (187-91) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Barna lost third consecutive game. Barna at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth place with five games lost. Barna will play next round against Olivar trying to get back on the winning streak. Menorca will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Castellbisbal on the road.
