Regular Season Round 9: Scafati - Tortona 68-75

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Tortona (7-2) beat on the road 13th ranked Scafati (2-7) 75-68 on Sunday. The former international power forward Luca Garri (207-82) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: E.Kentucky, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Four Tortona players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Chase Fischer (190-93, college: BYU) with 25 points and the former international power forward Tommaso Fantoni (204-85, agency: Players Group) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Tortona moved-up to second place in A2. Loser Scafati dropped to the fifteenth position with seven games lost. Tortona will face Viola RC (#16) in Reggio Calabria in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Scafati will play on the road against Roma E-basket and hope to win that game.
