Regular Season Round 10: Ponferrada CDP - Innova Chef 76-67

Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Ponferrada CDP (5-3) won against at home 9th ranked Innova Chef (3-5) 76-67 on Sunday. Innova Chef trailed by 18 points after 3 quarters before a 28-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 67-76 at the end of the game. Ponferrada CDP dominated on the defensive end, holding Innova Chef to just 7 points in first quarter. Quite impressive performance for American guard Sam Prescott (190-90, college: Mt.St.Mary's) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 7 rebounds. Haitian-American forward James Cambronne (201-91, college: St.Michael's) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Cambronne is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Ponferrada CDP players scored in double figures. American forward Dionte Adams (201-94, college: Hampton) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and Senegalese center Alioune Senghor (200-96) added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Innova Chef. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Ponferrada CDP moved-up to fifth place in Group A-B, which they share with Estudiantes L. and Naron. Loser Innova Chef keeps the ninth position with five games lost. Ponferrada CDP will face Vigo VGO (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Innova Chef will play against Calidus Gal.COB (#4) and hope to win that game.
