Deutsche Bank Skyliners were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American center Brian Qvale (210-88, college: Montana) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Belgian Maxime De Zeeuw (206-87) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. American guard Kwame Vaughn (190-90, college: CS Fullerton) came up with 15 points and 7 assists and Danish guard Shavon Shields (201-94, college: Nebraska) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Deutsche Bank Skyliners in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. EWE Baskets moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ludwigsburg and Giessen 46ers. Deutsche Bank Skyliners lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with nine games lost. EWE Baskets will play against higher ranked Telekom Baskets (#5) in Bonn in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
