Regular Season Round 9: Faenza - Iseo 85-80

Everything went according to plan when first ranked Faenza (7-2) defeated at home 16th ranked Iseo (1-8) 85-80 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Faenza made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. It was a good game for swingman Riccardo Iattoni (198-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Marco Perin (183-93) contributed with 21 points and 6 assists for the winners. Point guard Andrea Leone (186-94) answered with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Gianluigi Prestini (200-89) added 6 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Iseo. Iseo's coach Matteo Mazzoli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Faenza have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place in B with 7-2 record, which they share with Bergamo and Orzinuovi GaGa. Iseo lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth position with eight games lost. Faenza will face Cento (#4) on the road in the next round. Iseo will play against Desio (#8) and hope to win that game.
